The next Outdoor Education program will be Tuesday, January 27 at 6:00 pm at the Florence Natural Resource Center lower level conference room. Ever wonder if trout habitat enhancement projects work? Greg Matzke, DNR fisheries biologist, recently evaluated the impact of a dozen different habitat projects on one of the best systems in this area. At this presentation, he will walk through them one by one to explain if the effort put into these trout streams has paid off. This meeting is part of the Northern Wisconsin Fisheries Spotlight Series, which allows the public to learn about game fish management and meet the DNR staff members working in northern Wisconsin.
This program starts at 6:00 pm in the lower level conference room at the Florence Natural Resource Center building located on the corner of US 2 and Highway 101/70 in Florence (5628 Forestry Drive). You may attend in person, or you may sign up to attend virtually via a TEAMS link by registering at www.ExploreFlorenceCounty.com.
