The Florence Visitor Center is now offering snowshoes rentals for offsite daily use.  The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for 12 & under for a same day return by 3pm.  Or you may rent snowshoes for multiple days at $20 per adult and $10 per 12 & under.  All offsite rentals require a $20/pair cash or check deposit you will get back after the snowshoes are returned.  Multiple day snowshoe rentals can be returned on weekends at the Keyes Peak Ski Hill desk Saturday 11am-9pm or Sunday 12pm-7pm.  Your deposit would then be mailed back to you.  You can still try snowshoes for free on the ¾-mile interpretive trail around our building located on the corner of US 2 and Hwy 70 (5628 Forestry Drive).  The Center is open Monday through Friday 9am to 3pm.

The Visitor Center has information on a variety of snowshoe trails for you to explore.  Or with over 200,000 acres of public access land in Florence County, your adventure options are limitless.  You can even snowshoe to our waterfalls for a unique frosty winter landscape.

The Wild Rivers Interpretive Center offers local, regional and state level travel brochures, natural resource and historical interpretive displays, wildlife mount displays, an UpNorth themed gift shop and public restrooms.  The Center also provides natural resource based information and sells licenses and permits for Florence County Forestry and Parks, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and the federal USDA Forest Service offices that are co-located in this building.  For more information call 715-528-5377.  Or email Wendy at wgehlhoff@FlorenceCountyWI.gov.
