Come join the festivities at the 9th Annual Christmas in Florence event on Saturday, December 1st from 10am – 3pm at the newly remodeled Florence County High School. Support your local economy and non-profit groups by shopping for unique hand-made crafts, gifts and other special home-business items from over 120 vendor spaces in the gymnasium and main hallway. You’ll find the perfect one-of-a-kind gift for people on your list. Get in the Christmas spirit by taking a break in the auditorium to enjoy a variety of free Christmas performances including music, dance and drama. This event is free and there are many door prizes to win.

Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive at 10:30am. Kids can sit on Santa’s lap and hear a story from Mrs. Claus in the cafeteria. Red and white homemade chili, hot dogs, smoked shredded turkey sandwiches, chips, drinks and homemade cookies will be for sale in the cafeteria. Proceeds from the kitchen fund a variety of Chamber of Commerce community projects. In the Fab Lab at the end of the hall, past the gym, kids can create their own free Christmas craft projects with help from the Florence High School volunteer TORPEDOS group.

The following free performances are scheduled for the auditorium: 10:30am-11:00am FHS Drama Club, 11:00am-11:30am FHS Jazz Band, noon-1:00pm UP Dance Academy and 1:15pm-2:15pm Carolyn Jo and Company band will sing and play their special mix of folk, blues and old rock including many Christmas favorites. The FHS Show Choir will be caroling around the event venue in the afternoon as well.
