Florence, WI…… Keyes Peak Winterfest on Saturday March 2nd, costs only $15/person for a whole day of skiing, snowboarding or tubing. This price includes any rental equipment, lift ticket and the chance to take part in other fun family activities. The event runs from 11:00am until 4pm, but the lift ticket is good until hill closing at 9:00pm. This is a great family value and cure for cabin fever. This event is sponsored by the Florence County Chamber of Commerce, Florence County Forestry & Parks and the Keyes Peak Ski Hill Committee.

Keyes Peak Ski Hill is located 4 miles south of Florence on Hwy 101. Its sculpted tubing run has the best vertical drop around so non-skiers can enjoy Keyes Peak too. There is a shorter tube run for young children. Keyes Peak offers runs for beginner, intermediate and expert skiers and snowboarders plus rails and jumps. Other activities at Winterfest include human bowling, snow ball launching and snow carving. Or bring your snowshoes and explore the Chickadee snowshoe trails near the lodge. Plus, experts will be on hand to teach you how to disc golf.

The Keyes Peak Lodge concession stand offers a variety of food and beverages. The Lodge is a great place to warm-up, relax, play games, make new friends and have refreshments. So come enjoy a day in the sun with family and friends. For more information about this event call the Visitor Center at 715-528-5377 or visit and click on events.
