Do you like to take outdoor pictures especially during the fall color season? Grab your camera or phone and hike to a Florence County Waterfall to take pictures for the Fall Waterfall Photo Contest. There are two categories to enter: best “Selfie by a Waterfall” and best “Waterfall Scenery” picture. You may submit as many entries as you’d like for a chance to win prizes. The deadline is October 24th. Like “Florence County” on facebook and message your pictures to us making sure to tell us which waterfall you captured in each picture. Winners will be announced on facebook by October 28th.

There are 7 different waterfalls in Florence County on the Pine and Popple Wild Rivers. Get your copy of the newly published Waterfall Guide by going to the “Contact Us” page at ExploreFlorenceCounty.com. Or stop by the Visitor Center on the corner of US 2 and Hwy 70. The new Waterfall Guide can also be mailed to you by calling 888-889-0049. Then grab your family and friends and plan a day trip to explore several of these rugged and pristine natural wonders. Most of the waterfalls require a scenic hike varying in length from less than a ¼ mile to just over a mile on rugged trails. The Wisconsin Wild River tour logo signs will help guide you to the waterfalls. The memories you make will last a lifetime. For questions about the photo contest contact Lori Moore at the visitor center: 715-528-5377.
