Outdoor Education Talk - Edible Wild Mushrooms
Date: May 29, 2024
Time: 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Edible Mushrooming season has started.  Come learn more about how to identify edible mushrooms, types of habitat to search and when to look for them from Carla Kramer, local mushroom enthusiast.  Mushrooming is a great activity to get out and explore the over 200,000 acres of public access land in Florence County.  Ideas on how to cook with edible mushrooms will also be discussed.

This program starts at 6:00 pm in the lower level conference room at the Florence Natural Resource building located on the corner of U.S. 2 and Highway 101/70 in Florence (5628 Forestry Drive).  Or you may sign up to attend virtually via Zoom by registering at www.ExploreFlorenceCounty.com on the Events page by clicking on this event and then "Register here to attend via Zoom link”.  There will be ample time for questions and answers.

The Florence County monthly Outdoor Education programs are sponsored by the Friends of the Wild Rivers Interpretive Center and UW-Extension Florence County.  This event is open to the public and free of charge.  For more information, contact Wendy Gehlhoff at (715) 528-5920 or wgehlhoff@florencecountywi.gov.
