On Saturday, February 23rd you won't want to miss the Florence Volunteer Fire Departments "Fireman's Ball". Doors open at the Encore on Central Ballroom at 5pm. Admission is $5. The meat raffle starts at 5pm and the band 141 North rocks the house from 8pm until Midnight. All proceeds to to the Florence Volunteer Fire Department.

Roberts Memorial Ski Lessons/Race at Keyes Peak RESCHEDULED For February 23rd, 2019.
(located 4 miles south of Florence on Hwy. 101) Must pre-register, space is limited.
Saturday, February 23rd, 2019. Ski instruction in the morning. Optional timed runs on a NASTAR course in the afternoon. All participants ages 6-17 will be awarded medals. ONLY $10 includes lessons, lift ticket, ski rentals if needed and a chance to race the course if you want to. $20 maximum per family.

The Annual Keyes Peak Winterfest event is on Saturday, March 2ndat Keyes Peak Ski Hill 4 miles south of Florence on Hwy 101.

It only costs $15/person for a whole day of skiing, snowboarding, tubing, snowshoeing and games ($5 for season pass holders). This price includes your lift ticket, free rental equipment and the chance to take part in other fun activities. The event runs from 11:00 am - 4:00pm and the lift ticket is good until hill closing at 9:00 pm. This is a great family value! Activities include human bowling, snow ball launch competitions and expert disc golfers will be on hand to teach you how to disc golf. Make sure to try the best tube run in our region! Helmets are provided. A shorter tube run is available for young children.

FLORENCE, Wis. – The 15th Annual Sustainable Forestry Conference will be held Thursday, April 4th from 7:50 am until 3:45 pm at the Keyes Peak Ski Lodge, 4960 Hwy 101, four miles south of Florence. This is a new location for this event to accommodate more registrations. This year’s conference focuses on “The Forest Industry: Tools and Rules for Success”. Forest Industry tools and technology are always changing and so are the rules and regulations related to doing business.

Badwater Bass Tourney 2019

This Annual Bass Fishing Tournament at Vagabond Park on Twin Falls Flowage is sure to become a summer favorite. Either a Wisconsin or Michigan fishing licence can be used for this tournament. The tournament registration begins at 5am with a 6am start time. Weigh in is scheduled for 2pm. The cost is $75/boat with a 50 boat maximum so register early. There is a $2400 minimum pot. The place to be on July 13th is the Badwater Bass Tourney....... See you there!

Florence, WI --- On Saturday, December 7th from 10 am until 3 pm the Chamber of Commerce is hosting 9th Annual Christmas in Florence at the Florence High School gym and cafeteria. There will be over 90 vendors in the gym offering a large variety of unique hand-made arts and craft items as well as other gifts for sale to help you with your Christmas shopping. There are many activiites for kids. Sitting on Santa's lap is always a big hit as well as listening to stories from Mrs. Claus. They arrive at 10:30am. Your children will love making free Christmas craft projects with our FHS TORPEDOS students. Homemade Chili, Christmas cookies and other delicious food items will be for sale in the cafeteria. This event is free and includes a chance to win many door prizes.

Performances in the auditorium are:
10:30-11am FHS Drama Club
11-11:30am FHS Jazz Band
12-1:00pm UP Dance Academy
1:15-2:15 Carolyn Jo and Company
Plus the FHS Show Choir will be caroling around the school
