ADRC Hosts Free Powers of Attorney and Guardianship Presentation

Do you know what a power of attorney (POA) is or the purpose it serves? Has anyone ever asked you to be their power of attorney agent? Do you know the difference between a general power of attorney, an activated power of attorney, a durable power of attorney, or guardianship? The Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of Florence County is excited to host a FREE Powers of Attorney and Guardianship Presentation on Friday, October 21 st at the NWTC Woodland Café in Aurora from 12:30 – 1:45 pm. Julia Veenendaal- Attorney for the Elder Rights Project with Judicare Wisconsin - will be discussing the topic of advance planning. Julia will provide information on key topics, such as financial power of attorney, health power of attorney, guardianship, and more. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn how to prepare for your future and get FREE answers to your advance planning questions. Registration is required for this event. Lunch at the Woodland Café is available prior to the presentation on a donation basis. Lunch will be served at 11:30 and reservations are required, as space is limited.
