On Saturday, February 25th, 2017 you won't want to miss the Florence Volunteer Fire Departments "Fireman's Ball". Doors open at the Encore on Central Ballroom at 5pm. Admission is $5. The meat raffle is from 5-8pm and the band Next Myle rocks the house from 8pm until Midnight.

Pete "Toad" Church 12th Annual Ice Fishing Derby sponsored by the Aurora-Homestead Conservation Club is February 25th on the Pine River Flowage. Entry fee is $7.00 for adults, with kids 12 and under free.
Registration starts at 6:00 am on the ice. Or you can pre-register at Bob's Midland in Aurora.
Cash prizes will be awarded, and food and soda will be available.

Keyes Peak Winterfest 2017

The Annual Keyes Peak Winterfest event is on Saturday, March 4th at Keyes Peak Ski Hill 4 miles south of Florence on Hwy 101.

It only costs $15/person for a whole day of skiing, snowboarding, tubing, snowshoeing and games ($5 for season pass holders). This price includes your lift ticket, rental equipment and the chance to take part in other fun activities. The event starts at 11:00 am and the lift ticket is good until hill closing at 9:00 pm. This is a great family value! Activities include lessons from professional snow carvers, snowshoes potato race, human bowling and guided snowshoe hikes on the new Chickadee Snowshoe trails.

Florence Town Rummage and Sidewalk Sale

Rummage Sales will be held all over the picturesque town of Florence and surrounding areas, sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce, Bargains will be found in and around the town. Watch for Signs as you drive thru Florence on US Hwy. 2. Maps are available at local businesses. Tables will be also set up where Market Days is held in the park. The Florence Geology Club will hold a Rock Swap and Sale in the Community Center Pavillion. Lunch specials will also be available.

Badwater Bass Tourney 2017

This Annual Bass Fishing Tournament at Vagabond Park on Twin Falls Flowage is sure to become a summer favorite. Either a Wisconsin or Michigan fishing licence can be used for this tournament. The tournament registration begins at 5am with a 6am start time. Weigh in is scheduled for 2pm. The cost is $75/boat with a 50 boat maximum so register early. There is a $2500 minimum pot. The place to be on July 15th is the Badwater Bass Tourney....... See you there!
