2nd Annual Keyes Peak "Off the Chains" Disc Golf Doubles Tournament

NWTC is hosting their 7th Annual Fall Harvest Festival and Techncal Academy Open House on Saturday, October 8th from 10am until 2pm. Come enjoy food from local growers and producers, shop for gifts from local artisans and crafters, explore the kids activity area and see the latest technology in the mobile modular trailer. Free totes to attendees while supplies last. Vendors pay $25 for a space to sell to over 600 attendees. This event takes place rain or shine in the gymnasium and other space within the NWTC Woodland Kitchen & Business Incubator.

Help us create awareness for Down Syndrome in a healthy way! Join us for a competitive 5K run and a non-competitieve 5K walk. The event starts and fininshes at the Florence High School football field concession area with awards ceremony to follow. Packets will be available Sunday, October 9th starting at 10am until the race starts at 11am. Pre-registrants receive a t-shirt. Contact Bryan if you'd like to volunteer to help with the event.

On Saturday, October 15th, boys/girls ages 12-16 will hunt pheasant with the help of an adult mentor from 9am until noon at the Shady Game Farm on 6865 Harding Road (2nd Crossing) west of Florence. Free lunch will follow from noon until 1pm. Registration starts at 8:30 am. Limited to 25 children. Call Dwaine Drewa to pregister and save your spot (715)528-5266. This is a free event sponsored by the Northwoods Chapter of KAMO (Kids and Mentors Outdoors). All equipment will be provided including shotgun shells.

Florence, WI --- Christmas is coming; sooner than you think! It never fails, the holiday season sneaks up faster and faster each year. Before you know it, Christmas will be here, along with the last minute shopping. Why not avoid the crowds and a long drive and shop right here in Florence. On Saturday, December 3rd from 11 am until 4 pm the Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Christmas Shopping Bazaar at the Florence Community Center in conjunction with the Annual Christmas in Florence event. The Bazaar features over 40 vendors including a variety of unique hand-made arts and crafts created by local artists. You can also have a cookie or grab a bowl of homemade Chili. Your children will love making hands-on craft projects with our FHS TORPEDOS students, play in the snow pile made by the Keyes Peak Ski Hill committee, sit on Santa's lap or hear a story from Mrs. Claus. The free horse drawn wagon rides are also very popular. This event is free and includes a chance to win many door prizes.
