The King of Keyes Spring Singles Disc Golf Tournament

Have you tried Disc Golf yet? Here’s your chance on Saturday, April 28th at the “King of Keyes” Disc Golf Singles Tournament. The course is at Keyes Peak Recreation Area south of Florence on Hwy 101. There are separate divisions for novice, advanced, women and over 50. Registration starts at 8:30 with a 10am tee off. Entry fees range from $30 to $35 with cash prizes, door prizes and 50/50. Smear Tournament #3

The Florence County Fair will be holding a third smear tournament this year on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the Florence Community Center. The tournament begins at 6 p.m.
Registration will begin at 5 p.m. The fee to enter is $10.00 per person. They are two person teams.

The tournament will be a 4-point smear game and prizes will be awarded for 1st to 5th places. There will also be door prizes drawn after the tournament.

A small luncheon will be available for purchase along with beverages (soda and beer). Bake sale items provided by local bakers will be available as well. Chips and Pretzels will be provided. No carry-ins admitted.

All proceeds will go to support the building and ground improvements at the Fair Park.

Florence Town Rummage and Sidewalk Sale

Rummage Sales will be held all over the picturesque town of Florence and surrounding areas, sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce, Bargains will be found in and around the town. Watch for Signs as you drive thru Florence on US Hwy. 2. Maps are available at local businesses. Tables will also be set up where Market Days is held in the park. The Florence Geology Club will hold a Rock Swap and Sale in the Community Center Pavillion. Lunch specials will also be available.

The Florence County Blue Ox Trail Riders are hosting a new multi-class MUD RUN on Saturday, June 23rd at 10:30am at the Florence County Fairgrounds on County N. Entry fees are $25 per run for each class with registration for racers from 6am-9:30 am. Concessions are being sold on site to raise money for trail work. No carry-ins please. Spectator admission fee is $10 with 12 and under free. The Tavern on Central is sponsoring a $500 Fastest Pass of the Day prize.

Badwater Bass Tourney 2018

This Annual Bass Fishing Tournament at Vagabond Park on Twin Falls Flowage is sure to become a summer favorite. Either a Wisconsin or Michigan fishing licence can be used for this tournament. The tournament registration begins at 5am with a 6am start time. Weigh in is scheduled for 2pm. The cost is $75/boat with a 50 boat maximum so register early. There is a $2400 minimum pot. The place to be on July 14th is the Badwater Bass Tourney....... See you there!

Florence, WI --- On Saturday, December 1st from 10 am until 3 pm the Chamber of Commerce is hosting 9th Annual Christmas in Florence at the Florence High School gym and cafeteria. There will be over 70 vendors in the gym offering a large variety of unique hand-made arts and craft items as well as other gifts for sale to help you with your Christmas shopping. There are many activiites for kids. Sitting on Santa's lap is always a big hit as well as listening to stories from Mrs. Claus. They arrive at 10:30am. Your children will love making hands-on craft projects with our FHS TORPEDOS students. Homemade Chili, Christmas cookies and other delicious food items will be for sale in the cafeteria. The musical Yadro family if performing in the Library from 10am-11am. And the FHS Jazz Band and Show Choir are performing in the auditorium from 11am-noon. This event is free and includes a chance to win many door prizes.
